Hostels in Alghero - Günstige Unterkunft in Alghero
Fernab vom Massentourismus der anderen Mittelmeerinseln haben sich die Städtchen und Dörfer Sardiniens ihren authentischen Charme bewahrt und sind trotzdem direkt vom Flughafen Köln/Hahn erreichbar. Auch die kleine Stadt Alghero, im Nordwesten der Insel, gilt mit ihren traumhaft weißen, feinsandigen Stränden und klarem Wasser als Geheimtipp. Algheros rund 40.000 Einwohner nennen ihre Stadt Klein-Barcelona, weil dieser Teil der Insel noch starke Züge der katalanischen Kultur trägt. Das Alter der Stadt wird durch zahlreiche historische sakrale Bauten und Piazzen sowie die imposante Stadtmauer bezeugt. Schmale Gassen und pittoreske Steintreppen führen zu den Piazzen und Kirchen der übersichtlichen Altstadt. Die Umgebung Algheros ist ebenfalls einen Besuch wert: die Nekropole von Angelu Ruju und die Tropfsteinhöhle Grotta di Nettuno sollten nicht verpasst werden. Abends kann man es sich in einer der kleinen Bars der Via Carlo Alberto mit Blick auf das Meer gemütlich machen. Thementage und Heiligenfeierlichkeiten finden das ganze Jahr, aber hauptsächlich im Sommer, in Alghero statt.
