The city of Paraty is located about half way between Rio de Janeiro and Sao Paulo. The 16th century town is nestled between the mountains and the ocean and preserves some of the most amazing natural and architectural delights in Brasil.Pousada Guaranauml#225; is located in one of the best areas of Paraty. Our neighborhood is safe and quiet, and we are located right off the main avenue of Paraty. While we are walking distance to the historic centre, boat pier and the bus station, you may prefer to borrow one of our bikes to get to town or to tour the area. We also have a bus stop right next to us to get you to all the popular destinations, like Trindade beach, Priainha beach and our beautiful waterfalls.Our Pousada is surrounded by gardens, flowers and many quiet areas to relax. The construction of the Pousada has a rustic log cabin appeal using only renewable eco-friendly materials. We offer rooms with ceiling fans, king size beds, TV, private bathrooms with hot showers and refrigerator. Our double rooms have one king size bed, and our triple rooms have one king and a single bed. All rooms have access to our swimming pool and secured parking area. WiFi access is available throught the pousada.Breakfast is included in your stay. We serve a delicious selection for breakfast, including fresh local made breads, cheeses, fresh tropical fruits, eggs, cakes or pastries, juices, coffee, milk, hot chocolate, and tea. Explore by foot the historical center of Paraty, where cars are prohibited. Be sure to bring good walking shoes as the cobblestone streets can be tricky. The construction of its old houses and churches reflect the Portuguese colonial style of the 16th century. Many festivals and cultural events happen all year long, so you are bound to be here for a celebration. There is so much for you to see and do here. We will help you book boat trips, kayaking, diving, jeep tours and many other adventures for you at your request. Pousada Guarana is just a 2 minute drive or 20 min walk from the local bus station. From the bus terminal go to the main street, Av. Roberto Silveira and turn left. Go until you pass the Ipiranga gas station and turn right at Av. 1. You will see a blue sign post with our name. Go down to Rua 5 and turn left and we are 20 meters down on the left.If you are driving from Rio or Sao Paulo:From Sao Paulo: Get on the Ayrton Senna or the Via Dutra freeway. Take the Taubatauml#233; exit and take the road toward Ubatuba/ Litoral Norte. When you arrive in Ubatuba follow the signs to get to Rio de Janeiro / Santos. Head toward Rio and in approximately 70 km is Paraty. At the circular exit (trevo) turn right toward Centro Historico Paraty on Avenida Roberto Silveira. After just 50 meters or so, turn at the second left just across from the Esso gas station which is Av 1. (if you pass an Ipiranga gas station you went too far) Drive to the end and turn left at Rua 5. Pousada Gurana is 50 meters down on the left.From Rio de Janeiro:Take the Av. Brasil from Rio/Santos toward Santos. Drive 290km until you reach Paraty. At the circular exit (trevo) turn left toward Centro Historico Paraty on Avenida Roberto Silveira. After just 50 meters or so, turn at the second left just across from the Esso gas station which is Av 1.
