Alarm clocks are also available Landsdowne Rd (where the Irish soccer and rugby teams play their games), the RDS which always holds exhibitions and University College Dublin are all only a 15 minute walk from Ashfield House. We are spoilt for choice when it comes to pubs and restaurants.As we verge on the embassy belt, the guesthouse is in a very nice side of town with some beautiful areas to walk in. The River Dodder flows behind our local pub which is 5 minutes walk away!We pride ourselves on our breakfasts. There is a choice of full Irish, continental and vegetarian breakfasts available. As much as possible we go organic/free range. Directions from the city centre to Ashfield House:Coming from the city centre go straight through Ranelagh Village and on to Sandford road. You will pass an Esso garage on your left hand side and you will then pass through the junction of Eglington Road and Miltown Road. You are now on Clonskeagh Road and we are the 3rd house on the left.Coming from city take the 11 bus south and ask to be let off at the first bus stop on Clonskeagh Rd.Dublin Airport is about 12km north of the city centre. The Aircoach direct to Dublin airport is a mere 5 minute walk from the guesthouse and runs every 15 minutes. (A taxi should cost approximately 15 - 20 Euros).From the Airport take Air coach blue bus with orange circle, to no.7 stop Ever-Ready garage. Walk back a few paces on to Eglinton Rd. Walk to the end of the road. Turn left and you are on Clonskeagh Rd. We are the 3rd house on the left.Sea AccessRegular, scheduled services operate between Ireland and the UK bringing both foot passengers and cars and other vehicles into the city through Dublin Port and Dun Laoghaire (both approx. 3 miles from Ashfield House) City TransportGetting around Dublin city and county can be achieved by bus, DART (Dublin Area Rapid Transport) or taxi. Nitelink buses run every 20 minutes until 04.30 from the City Centre to Ashfield house.
