| Perth, Hauptstadt des Bundeslandes West Australia, ist eine lebendige, sonnenverwöhnte Großstadt am Swan River und dem Indischen Ozean. Als Superlativ dient der Titel "einsamste Großstadt der Welt" - schließlich ist Perth von allen anderen australischen Siedlungsräumen durch die riesige australische Wüste getrennt. Die große Beliebtheit als Reiseziel kommt wohl durch die einmalige Kombination von City-Life und Water-Action. Riesige Weingüter und Farmen liegen im Hinterland. Aber auch das Outback ist nicht weit. Die Innenstadt von Perth ist modern und geschäftig. Hier erlebt man richtigen Großstadtflair. Aber Perth hat auch einen sehr hohen Freizeitwert. V.a. die kilometerlangen phantastischen Sandstrände locken Besucher aus aller Welt an. Ein Event- Höhepunkt ist hier jedes Jahr wieder das Western Australian Wildflower Festival im September - wahrscheinlich die schönste und fotogenste Zeit um Perth zu besuchen. Lassen Sie sich überraschen. Besonders empfehlenswerte Ausflüge führen aber auch nach Fremantle, in das herausgeputzte Hafenstädtchen im Kolonialstil und auf die Ferieninsel Rottnest Island, wo man einfach nur prima entspannen kann. |
