Hostels in Pisa - Günstige Unterkunft in Pisa

Pisa ist eine Stadt in Italien, gelegen in der Toskana. Weltbekanntes Wahrzeichen ist hier der als Schiefer Turm von Pisa bekannte Campanile. Das Zentrum erstreckt sich über vier historische Stadtviertel, vom Bahnhof im Süden bis zur Piazza dei Miracoli (Platz der Wunder) mit dem Schiefen Turm im Norden. Mittelpunkt der historischen Viertel ist der Ponte di Mezzo, die zentrale Arno-Brücke. Hier findet im Juni auch ein ganz besonderes Event statt, das so genannte Gioco del Ponte. Hierbei versuchen starke Männer der Viertel nördlich des Arno einen sieben Tonnen schweren Wagen über den Ponte di Mezzo auf die südliche Hälfte zu schieben. Die südlichen Stadtviertel versuchen genau das zu verhindern. Dieses Spektakel wird in historischen Kostümen dargeboten und ist wirklich sehenswert. Da sich die meisten Touristen nicht weit vom Schiefen Turm entfernen, findet man in Pisa eine der Städte der Toskana, die recht ursprünglich und echt geblieben sind. Denn entfernt man sich nur wenige hundert Meter vom Turm, sieht man verwinkelte Gassen, Bars und die typischen im Pisaner Gelb gestrichenen Häuser, die den ehemaligen Reichtum der Stadt noch erahnen lassen.
