| Sofort will man nach dem Haken an der Sache suchen: zu blau das Meer, zu strahlend die Sonne, zu weiß die Strände - zu perfekt scheint Sorrento. Falls es tatsächlich noch so etwas wie das Paradies auf Erden gibt, kommt Sorrento ihm jedenfalls sehr nahe. Kein Wunder, dass es die stadtflüchtigen Melbourner im Sommer hierher, auf das Badeidyll der Mornington Peninsula, zieht. Sorrento bietet maximale Erholung von metropolischer Hitze auf minimalem Raum. Hier ist alles close-by: Beim Schlendern durch Dünen und Sand vom Sorrento Ocean Beach zum Portsea Back Beach kann man sich von imposanten Aussichten über die Gezeitenlandschaft begeistern lassen. Oder vielleicht lieber ein Bummel durch die Stadt? Vorbei gehts an den typisch sorrentinischen Limestone-Häusern in die Boutiquen, Galerien oder Restaurants. Überhaupt kann man hier gut den Tag verfläzen: egal, ob beim Kaffee in den kleinen Straßencafés oder beim Delphine-Beobachten an den Stränden - Skeptiker können gleich einpacken. Und sollten dabei die Badehose nicht vergessen! Von Tauchen und Schnorcheln bis hin zu Segeln und Surfen hat Sorrento so ziemlich alles an Outdoor-Activities im Angebot, was Wassersportler wollen. |
